Dear Guests,

Welcome aboard Royal Brunei Airlines!

We wish you a very pleasant flight with RB. Please be rest assured that our team both on the ground and in the air will do their utmost to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable journey.

The months of May and June are filled with celebrations not just within RB and Brunei but also around our network. Beginning with the celebration of our 42nd anniversary of RB’s first flight on 14 May, 1975. On the first day of operations, RB flew to Singapore and Kota Kinabalu, and then to Hong Kong on the following day. I would like to thank all our valued customers for your continuous support over 42 years, and to our Staff for their dedication and hard work in making RB one of most loved airlines in the world.

The end of May sees the beginning of the fasting month of Ramadhan and Eid-ul Fitri celebrations start towards the end of June; these two festivities are celebrated in Brunei and in many of the cities RB flies to, it is indeed among the best time of the year to travel. In Brunei, during the month of Ramadhan, you will discover a great number of food markets that will spoil you for choices with local delicacies. For Eid celebrations in Brunei; among the major attraction would be a visit to the royal palace. The Brunei Royal family opens the Istana Nurul Iman; the biggest residential palace in the world, from the second till fourth day of Eid-ul Fitr to celebrate the festivity with the public. If you are flying to Brunei at this time, this is a festivity not to be missed.

On the development side, we have recently introduced our Mobile Check-In facility, which includes the ability to select seats and utilise a digital boarding pass from your smartphone. This is currently available for departures from Brunei International Airport and we look forward to introducing this facility throughout our route network.

As always, I would like to conclude with a sincere word of thanks to you for flying with RB today and, for our part, we will continue do our best to continuously earn your support.
