Once again, Singapore buzzes with a pulsating excitement in September where the city will play host to over 250,000 enthusiasts making their way to the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix 2019. And we’re not just talking about race-car enthusiasts but also revellers who want in on the exhilarating atmosphere with stellar international music acts performing live on stage, special dining events, and of course, the shopping, glitz, and glamour that Singapore already has to offer as a must-visit destination.

What’s unique about the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix is that it features a street circuit hosting the world’s only full night race in the Formula 1 calendar with drivers racing under a state-of-the-art lighting system featuring 1,600 lighting projectors around the track. Singapore first made history by hosting the world’s first Formula 1-night race in 2008 and since then, has continued to attract fans from across the globe and will do so
until 2021.

This year, the race’s 12th edition will be held from 20 to 22 September at the Marina Bay Street Circuit with the world’s finest drivers racing under bright lights and speeds up to 325km/h around Singapore’s picturesque Marina Bay on a track set against the backdrop of the city’s stunning skyline. It is exactly how you’d imagine a street-car race to be – filled with suspense, thrill, drama and absolutely electrifying!

 

WHAT TO EXPECT FOR THE SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX 2019
THE ENTERTAINMENT
Over the race weekend, there will be nine stages set up within the Circuit Park with over 100 hours of non-stop entertainment. Set to perform this year are Swedish House Mafia, Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gwen Stefani, Toots and the Maytals, Fatboy Slim, Hans Zimmer and many more.

THE DINING
Enjoy a wide range of gastronomic offerings from global cuisine to Singapore’s popular hawker food. Vegetarian and halal food are also available. Over at the exclusive Formula 1 Paddock Club™, celebrity chef Heston Blumental will make his culinary debut along with other renowned names like NOBU, Rockpool by Neil Perry, COMO Cuisine, Tarte by Cheryl Koh and Stockton Bar by Maximal Concepts.

FUN ACTIVITIES
You’re in for a lot of excitement within the Circuit Park with free activities such as race simulators, Pit Stop Challenge where you can change the tyres of a replica Formula 1 car, other classic games and more.
