Dear Guests,

Welcome aboard Royal Brunei Airlines!

With this first edition of MUHIBAH for the year, I extend my best wishes to all of our guests for a healthy, prosperous and peaceful New Year. For our Chinese friends and guests, we wish you a very auspicious and happy Chinese Lunar
New Year.

We also would like to wish a very happy 35th National Day to all Bruneians this
23 February, 2019.

2018 has been an exciting year of significant achievement for us at RB with the expansion our route network to Nanning, Haikou, Taipei and most recently, Kuching and Changsha. We have also launched our game changing, non-stop flights between Brunei and London Heathrow on 28 October, 2018 linking Brunei and the United Kingdom with a seamless direct air-link for the first time. We will be providing the missing capital city to capital city link between Bandar Seri Begawan and Tokyo (Narita) in mid-March 2019 and we are keen to commence services to Beijing and a second Australian city this year.

With these new and planned route additions, RB will operate out of its hub airport in Bandar Seri Begawan to 25 international destinations across the world and more via codeshare and interline relationships with our Partner Airlines.

We recently welcomed our seventh A320NEO aircraft, the best-in-class single-aisle aircraft, thus making RB the owner of one of the youngest fleets in the world with an average fleet age of two years. With the latest technology aircraft, RB offers our guests the very best in cabin product, better operational reliability and a positive impact to our environment by reducing fuel burn and carbon emissions.

2018 also marked a significant milestone for RB as we were honoured with the 2018 Four-Star Award by APEX and “Travellers’ Choice Economy Class-Asia” and “Travellers’ Choice Regional Airlines-Asia” by TripAdvisor. We also moved 14 places to be the 78th best airline in the recent Skytrax airline ranking. We sincerely thank all our guests who have written to us, both via social media and industry sites, acknowledging our services and the great value we provide.

I would also like to extend my sincerest thanks to everyone on Team RB both in Brunei and our stations worldwide who have shown great teamwork and dedication all year long to serve and accord our guests the best service value.

We look forward to an even more exciting year for RB in 2019 with the much anticipated launch of our new routes, the completion of the renovation works to facilities and the building of a new cafeteria at headquarters RB Campus for our team.

Lastly, we wish you a very pleasant trip with RB. Rest assure that our teams, both on the ground and in the air, will do their utmost to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable journey.
